Having a speaker visit your school or group is an excellent way of bringing a subject to life. Send a Cow can provide your school with a fully trained volunteer to either talk to the whole school at an assembly, or talk to a class where the children can ask questions about the work of Send a Cow and think about what your school can do to make a difference in the world.

What to expect

Our volunteers will talk about life in Africa and how Send a Cow projects work with families to bring them out of poverty and into a secure future.

Particular topics that our volunteers could speak about include:

  • Introduction to Send a Cow
  • Life in Africa
  • Interactive case-studies about families we work with in Africa
  • Sustainable living and food production
  • Climate change
  • Poverty and education
  • Child headed households
  • The role of women
  • How we support people with disabilities
  • The impact of Send a Cow’s work
  • How donations are used
