The Festival of Transformation

Join us on Saturday 9th February 9:30 - 15:30 at Bristol City Hall for The Festival of Transformation

During the day, various inspiring speakers will be discussing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and how they are coming to life through transformative stories. Our very own Director of Research and Impact, Richie Alford, will be discussing SDG 1, No Poverty, and SDG 2, Zero Hunger.

Love thy Global Neighbour

Richie will be talking about how our work tackles these issues within communities in our projects. He'll share the story of Alinnyikira Orphans Group in Nabigasa, Uganda.

Nalule Luccy is the chairperson of the Alinnyikira Orphans Group. She is a carer of children whose parents have passed away suffering from HIV. Richie will explain how the group have grown themselves out of poverty, establishing a Village Savings and Loans Association so some of the older orphans can save money for their futures.
