Poverty is more than just the day to day struggle of toiling on land that fails to produce. Many people believe that poverty has become part of their personality, and hold out little hope for change. Before getting livestock and training in natural farming practices, people need hope, confidence and a vision. To do this a restoration of faith is needed in themselves and what they've already got.

The three legged stool

A milking stool has three legs for a reason. It is the only design that remains stable on uneven ground. The same is true of our work. In Africa, countless families have land but lack the means, the knowledge or the motivation to make it productive. Our programme provides struggling farmers with the skills and tools to turn things around – often against great odds. With the hope and the means, families are set to secure their own futures from the land.

Our mission, vision and values underpin all that we do
