Over the last three decades, Send a Cow has been helping farmers and their families to grow their own food, their confidence and their aspirations.

We’ve grown too as an organisation. What started as a simple, practical idea of sending cows to Uganda has evolved, and we now offer training in organic farming, as well as gender and social development and business skills. Having already worked with over 2 million people, we want to keep growing so we can help even more African farmers lift themselves out of poverty for good.

Find out about Francis and Josephine, a Kenyan couple who are growing huge smiles.

Get Involved

There’s nothing better than celebrating milestones, so let’s mark Send a Cow’s 30th anniversary with our own local events and get-togethers. Taking a gardening and growing theme as inspiration, we’d love you to hold an event of your choosing in April, May or June 2018.

It can be as simple or as fancy as you like; perhaps a garden themed cake sale, a lunch using veg and fruit in season, or a garden party. Just pick what you enjoy, fix a date, invite people along, and be part of growing Send a Cow’s work for the next 30 years.

Whether a small event or something bigger, all funds raised will help more families start growing nutritious food.
