Send a Cow has been working in Ethiopia since March 2006 and has had a huge impact on thousands of the poorest families. Having worked with 25,000 over the past 10 years, we are currently working with more than 50,000 people in six projects.

Communities are beginning to thrive.

  • We have developed expertise in bringing about attitude change in farmers through our gender and social development work.
  • We have pioneered an integrated, low-input approach to agriculture, promoting vegetable gardens and backyard farming to generate food security and income whilst also protecting the environment.
  • Families have been reunited, women have been empowered, and children have been able to go to school.

Let our Ethiopia Country Director, Aklilu Dogisso, introduce you to the work we are doing in his country.
