Our debut impact report centres on the findings from our two programmes African Garden Days and Lessons from Africa. As an experiential learning project, African Gardens Days has a deep transformative impact on the students. Our online platform, Lessons from Africa enables our resources to have a global reach. This report looks at the history and impact that these programmes have had.


African Garden Days

African Garden Days is a hands-on, practical day to build an African Keyhole garden.

Since 2013 this programme has reached 93 schools, including 23,250 pupils and over 180 teachers. From our 2015 survey:

1. 93% of teachers agress that African Garden Days enhances the values needed for their pupils to become global citizens
2. 84% of teachers agree their pupils remain engaged with global learning as a result of their African Garden Day

Lessons from Africa

Lessons from Africa is our award winning online platform containing over 165 freely available resources.

Since 2013 LFA has had over 250,000 downloads. From our 2015 survey:

1. 70% of teachers agree that Lessons from Africa helps them to implement the knowledge for their students to become global citizens
2. 60% of teachers agree that Lessons from Africa helps them to implement on-going attitudes for their students to become global citizens
