We can all achieve great things when we work together, and that’s exactly what our partners in the dairy and farming sectors have done in the last year.

After a year of partnering with us, Blackacre Farm Eggs sold 463,191 packs of eggs, which has funded the equivalent of 1,323 chickens winging their way to farming families in Africa. Each chicken produces around 200 nourishing eggs a year – a vital source of protein and income for poor farming families.

Briony Wood, Director of Blackacre Farm Eggs, said: “We have been delighted to support Send a Cow over the last year and are thrilled that the partnership has been such a success. Knowing the extent of the impact that our support is having on families in Africa is really motivating and we look forward to helping even more families during 2015.”

Meanwhile, thanks to west country cheese lovers, Cheeky Cow has sold over 60,000 packs of half fat cheese funding the equivalent of 5 dairy cows! Udderly brilliant.
Greg Parsons, MD of Cricketer Farm (where Cheeky Cow Cheese is produced) says: “Unlike 25 years ago we can’t send cows over to Africa on a plane, so this is the next best thing to help Send a Cow continue to do great things! As one of the first food brand partners to work with them, the success so far only pushes us on to continue raising awareness and money for such an important cause.”

The support from the farming sector doesn’t stop there. We’re delighted to announce that the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers (RABDFs) have chosen Send a Cow as their charity of the year for 2015! This will see Send a Cow joining in on farm walks, as well as attending the LiveStock Event at the NEC in July and the Annual Gold Cup Open Day (hosted by Michael Eavis at his very own Worthy Farm).

We'd also like to give a warm welcome to bovine genetics company, Genus - one of our newest partners. Over the next 3 years, they hope to raise enough to fund 100 dairy cows through customer donations and staff fundraising!

We’d like to say a huge thank you to all of our partners who continue to give families in Africa the hope and the means to secure their own futures from the land.
